Sterling Hundley is a Richmond, VA-based illustrator and painter. A university art professor by day, Hundley’s work has won a heap of awards and been published in an array of magazines. His work (much of which is commissions) runs an interesting gamut from almost cubist-like forms to Mucha-esque women to a Edward Hopper-like painting technique, and at times has everything from a street art feel as well as odes to abstract expressionism. It may sound crazy but you really have to dig through his blog to see what we’re talking about. And, his work is not pastiche either- it’s actually really fresh stuff with very contemporary compositions and very interesting color palettes.
