Tourist Book Report #35- 22 Kids recently started publishing a fantastic zine series called The Old New York which- as the title states- is all about the old New York. Chock full of images of graffiti and various New Yorkers, the series is a great historical documentation of a unique era and the city before it was profoundly changed by both gentrification and Giuliani’s ‘Broken Windows’ approach to mayoralty. Beyond being a noble, anthropologic endeavor, The Old New York is just a straight-up great zine with each issue being packaged with assorted stickers and buttons. You can buy copies here.
